Set up

1. Verify Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot are turned off.
2. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
3. If using Tab view, select the Networks tab.
4. Tap Tethering > Mobile HotSpot.
5. If necessary, tap the Mobile HotSpot switch to turn on.
6. Tap Configure Mobile HotSpot.
7. Edit the available settings as necessary:
   • Wi-Fi name (SSID)
   • Broadcast SSID
   • Security
   • Password(must be at least 8 characters)
   • Show password
   • Maximum connections
   • Broadcast channel [2.4 GHz or 5 GHz]
   • Auto select
8. When finished, tapSAVE.
9. Tap Mobile HotSpot turn off timer and select from the following:
   • After 5 min of inactivity
   • After 10 min of inactivity
   • After 15 min of inactivity
   • After 30 min of inactivity
   • Always stays on
10. Tap Allowed devices and select from the following:
    • Tap the trash can to delete a device.
    • Tap the + sign to add a device:
      1. Enter the Device name.
      2. Enter the MAC address. On most Android devices, this is under Settings > About phone > Hardware info.
      3. When finished, tap SAVE.
    • Tap to check or uncheck the Allow all devices checkbox.
11. If desired, tap the Wi-Fi Sharing switch to the turn on or off.
